2011 Virginia Beef Queen Contest
On behalf of the Virginia Cattlewomen and the Virginia Cattlemen, I am inviting you to participate in the Virginia Beef Industry Queen Contest. This is a wonderful opportunity to promote the Beef Industry in Virginia. The Virginia Beef Queen represents the Cattle Industry at various events throughout the year. Some of the events are:

Virginia State Chili Cook-Off – May – Roanoke, VA

Virginia State Fair – September – Richmond, VA
-
Virginia Agri-Business Dinner – January - Richmond VA
-
Virginia Beef Industry Convention – February
-
Virginia Beef Expo – April – Harrisonburg, VA
The Virginia Beef Queen Contest will be held on Friday, April 15th, 2011 at 2:00 pm in conjunction with The Virginia Beef Expo at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg. The contest will take place in the Exhibit Hall. Each contestant should be prepared to give a 3-5 minute speech on a positive phase of the Beef Industry and will also have a brief interview and questions with a panel of judges.
Again this year will be the addition of Scholarships, funded by the Virginia Cattlemen’s Foundation. Three (3) scholarships will be offered in the amount of $500.00 for the winner, $300.00 for runner-up and $200.00 for third place.
The new Queen should be prepared to stay for the Barn Party that evening.
